Zen not recognized, slot empty, or script not firing

1. 1Cable: replace the current cable with a known data-capable cable. A charge-only cable can provide power while preventing programming or controller data.
2. 2Firmware: open the current official firmware tool and confirm the Zen is on a supported firmware version. Finish any update before testing again.
3. 3Correct slot: confirm the script was programmed to a numbered slot, then select that exact slot on the device display.
4. 4Controller through Zen: connect the controller to the Zen and the Zen to the console. Do not leave the gameplay controller connected directly to the console.
5. 5Reboot: fully close the game, power down the console, disconnect the Zen, then reconnect the controller, Zen, and console in order.

• Device not recognized: start with the programming cable and USB port.
• Slot empty: assign the script to a numbered slot and program the device again.
• Script not firing: verify the selected slot, controller path, and any activation control documented for that script.
• Inputs work but timing is wrong: test a retune in MyCourt, especially after a gameplay patch.
